Rumor: Nikon AF-S Nikkor 10-18mm f4G ED N Lens

There is an interesting thread on a Chinese Forum pointing out numerous problems with the pictures of the Nikon 10-18mm Lens.

Problems include gold letters being flat (not raised like on real lenses), various artifacts and blurring when the image is dropped to black and white etc.

The suggestion being that it was created with 3D Modelling software, and based on the 14-24, the barrel is virtually identical. I'm not aware of any other two lenses that Nikon makes that effectively share a barrel design.

Compared to the 14-24mm and 12-24mm DX:

If fake, this is one of the best Photoshop jobs I've seen. Having said that, the shape of the lens does look very similar to the 14-24, and the hood does look a lot like a cut down version of the 14-24's.

If real, there are no DX markings, so this will be a very interesting lens: 10mm on FX? I would also assume it's a fisheye and not rectilinear (if it is rectilinear then it would be truly amazing).
