Canon 5D Mark II Problems/Updates Rumor: Two Cameras Survive Underwater

Review:
I was hill walking when my 5D MK II got wet. It didn’t go underwater and all worked except for view finder info which was corrupted. Official Canon repairer refused to fix under warranty. I think my old 20D is more weather proof then the 5D Mk II. What does weather proof actually mean? It’s OK in the sunshine and wind??

Review:
No way could this camera be submerged. On a photo trip the only cameras which failed in the field were the canon5d mark2. Intermittent rain and both camera were covered and protected. It seems like this camera can't hold up to much weather at all. VERY DISSAPPOINTING.
